Jigsaw Preschool offers hot lunch options!

We are very excited to share with you all that from September 2024 Jigsaw Preschool will be offering hot lunch options!

In collaboration with Hampshire School Caterers, we will be offering 2 different daily choices based upon a rolling 3 week menu.

There are many positives to providing children in early years education with a hot lunch including:
*Children receive the correct nutrients to fuel brains and bodies
*Makes mornings easier for grown ups without worrying about lunchboxes!
*Children develop healthy eating habits
*Sitting with their peers encourages children to try new things
*Healthy foods boost the immune system
*Easier transition to school hot meals
*Cutlery skills and etiquette
*Assurance for parents that their child enjoys a well-balanced meal
*Builds the foundations of a healthy lifestyle
*Healthy lunches help to reduce child obesity
*Overall improvement for children's health and well-being

The cost of each two-course nutritious meal will be charged at a rate of £4.00 per day.
We anticipate parents will be able to order weekly for the week ahead, and pay in advance.
Parents still have the option of providing their child with their own packed lunch, or indeed a mix of both across the week if you prefer.

All menus follow the School Food Standards published by the Government, designed to help children follow healthy eating habits from a range of food across the week.
The nutritious lunch provided uses quality ingredients and is designed to help children flourish.
All allergies are catered for through a secure online portal.
